Description
Despite its mild formula, this PH appropriate light strength beta peel can easily penetrate and clear clogged pores particularly with repeated use. The gentle concentration of Salicylic Acid 10% does not peel beyond the stratum corneum (the most superficial layer of the epidermis) making it the perfect treatment for individuals with both sensitive and congested skin conditions.

Level: Very Superficial/Superficial

Skin Type: Salicylic Acid is generally safe for most skin types particularly normal to oily, sun damaged, sensitive, dull, uneven and dehydrated. Sensitive skin should progress product potency over time.

Standard Benefits: Reduction of acne inflammation, clogged pores, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, ingrown hairs, wrinkles and fine lines, improved texture and clarity.

Side Effects: A temporary numbing effect has been noted upon initial contact as well as heightened skin sensitivity, purging, redness and peeling. Vigilant broad-spectrum sunscreen use is crucial for post-peel success.

Potency/Strength: Ranging from LIGHT (10%), MEDIUM (20%) and DEEP (30%).

The PH Factor: PH determines the acidity or alkalinity of a chemical solution. As the PH lowers, the Salicylic Acid’s intensity/strength increases.

Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Water, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA.

Caution: Please read peel instructions! When proper direction is administered, risks are minimal. Salicylic Acid is a derivative of Aspirin and should be avoided by those allergic to Salicylates.

Downtime: Mild/Moderate – Varies accordingly to individual skin traits and selected Salicylic Peel strength/potency. Superficial to medium depth peels approximately require a 7 to 10 day recuperation period. Salicylic Acid’s purging effect may necessitate a longer healing period.

Maintenance: Maintain long-term results of a Salicylic Peel with regular use of MedPeel’s Salicylic Acid 2% Exfoliator as well as habitual use of SPF 30 or higher.
