Description
This comprehensive light to medium strength Glycolic Acid 30% peel effectively addresses the adverse signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and photodamage. The sophisticated concentration of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) stimulates the superficial epidermis thus encouraging collagen production and restoring a more youthful, even-toned and healthy appearance.
Level: Superficial
Skin Type: Glycolic Acid is generally safe for most skin types particularly normal to oily, sun damaged and mature skin. Sensitive skin should progress product potency over time.
Standard Benefits: Reduction of acne and sebum production, ingrown hairs, wrinkles and fine lines, increased collagen and elastin growth (skin barrier repair), improved texture and clarity.
Side Effects: A temporary burning sensation has been noted upon initial contact as well as heightened skin sensitivity, redness and peeling. Vigilant broad-spectrum sunscreen use is crucial for post-peel success.
Potency/Strength: Ranging from LIGHT (20% – 30%), MEDIUM (40% – 50%) and DEEP (60% – 70%).
The PH Factor: PH determines the acidity or alkalinity of a chemical solution. As the PH lowers, the Glycolic Acid’s intensity/strength increases.
