I am an experienced skin care professional and consistant peel user. I do not recommend my technique, I am just sharing how I apply my Jessner. Pre peel, discontinue Retin A 2 weeks prior to peel, keep using skin lightener. Day of peel I cleanse with glycolic cleanser, apply peel prep with gauze. I paint on first layer of Jessner using a flat facial brush, wait about 2mins between each layer. I do seven layers. I am frosted and rinse off after a few hours. The next couple of days are difficult! Redness, tightness,shrinkwrapped skin, brown leathery patches. Peeling, mild itching. I use cool compresses. I look horrible! Mineral makeup will not cover it. I stay in because my face looks like it was rolled in corn flakes. Peeling continues, more peeling, peeling! Just when you think you can't take it anymore , the peeling is almost all done! So after all of that , I am rewarded with smoother, refined, even skin. My pores are smaller and my skin feels softer than a tadpole's belly.Was it worth it? Absolutely!!!!!! I allowed a total of 9 days for this process.

It stings, of course. Running around my house helped until I remembered to use the cool setting on my blowdryer (couldn't end a fan, which of course is more rational). Not horribly, but the heat is there. Sprayed with the neutralizer and then drenched my face with cool water before bravely doing it again. And again. The running (I know, crazy .. but it distracted me) did help. After three layers I was done. My skin felt tight, my cheeks and chin felt like a sunburn would be coming. The red came and dissipated overnight leaving the tight feeling and the beginning of darkening patches of skin, much like when the sunburn is over and it is going to peel. Following up with squalane oil, which softened the skin that would begin peeling on the third day. Slowly at first and by the fifth day, all over. My skin really really was radiant and the delicious squalene oil absorbed immediately and protected my skin. Propbably literally but also emotionally. The Jessner can clear up discolorations, sun-damaged areas of freckles (not real freckles probably, just the sun kind). It's wonderful.

This is a wonderful peel. In my opinion, it should be applied by a professional. I have seen over enthusiastic users create burns and suffer needlessly because they don't realize how acids work.

I used this product for my first time. The results were outstanding. after my second application of 7 layers my face was clear of lots of sun damaged, and brown spots. It is worth the one week with skin a little dry, the outcome was very smooth and yourthful looking.The best its has looked in years.

i have been giving jessner peels for ten years in a clinical setting...i have been using your product for seven months. i find that i have to apply a few more passes to get a good peel....definately shouldn't be used by someone who is not a professional. jessner peels are great for everyone and especially good for acne clients...

This is a very good, stronger peel than most. I used a 6-7 layer application for the deepest peel on my arms where I have some discoloration and old scars. That has had good results. It took a couple of days for the peel to become pronounced. 10 days after application it is smoothing out and my old spots are looking much better. I also used 3 layer application on my face with great results. My face did not peel as obviously as the body, but I can definitely see good results there also. I might go deeper on the face and neck in the fall, but it was good to start at a lower level for first time use. I will probably wait to do the deeper peel since this is the beginning of summer and I expect to have more sun exposure in the next 3 months. I would not recommend this peel for an inexperienced user, better to start with a milder peel at first.
