The Alpha Beta Peel is a double-acid peel treatment that utilizes an application of Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic) followed by an application of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (Glycolic). Best for combination/oily skin, aging or blemish concerns, the light-strength Alpha Beta duo is great for first-time peel users of all skin tones.

By combining the individual powers of 30% glycolic and 10% salicylic acid, the Alpha Beta peel duo provides a unique and effective form of exfoliation for those struggling with breakouts and unbalanced skin. During the treatment, applying salicylic acid first will cause the glycolic acid to penetrate the skin more deeply - resulting in a superior facial peel.

This peel set will target clogged pores, excess oil production, breakouts, blackheads, whiteheads and minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration while increasing moisture retention and promoting collagen for healthier, clearer and more radiant skin.

FOR BEST RESULTS

We strongly recommend conducting a patch test 3 days before applying the peel to a large area of skin to ensure no negative or unusual reactions occur.

When applying any peel, it is important to first begin building up the skin's tolerance by starting with milder, lower strength acids before attempting stronger peels and by using a daily exfoliator for about a week prior to peel application.

Prepping the skin with an exfoliator, such as our Medpeel Glycolic 10% Daily Exfoliator, will ensure a more even, thorough absorption of the peel acid. Continuing to exfoliate regularly in between peel treatments will also prolong your results.

DOWNTIME:

The Alpha Beta light strength peel may have some mild downtime and may produce some light peeling or flaking of the skin. The skin may be a bit pink and tight for a few hours following the peel. It is important to use a broad spectrum sunscreen daily, with a minimum of SPF 30, to protect treated skin during the healing process.

DIRECTIONS: Please read complete instructions that arrive with your peel prior to application.

Step 1: Wash the skin with a gel based cleanser and pat dry. Then apply Peel Prep Solution using a cotton ball to ensure the skin is properly cleansed.

Step 2: Apply the Salicylic 10% peel to a gauze pad or cosmetic round and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck or décolletage. Allow to set for 3 minutes.

Step 3: Apply the Glycolic 30% peel to a gauze pad or cosmetic round and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck or décolletage. Allow to set for 3-5 minutes.

Step 4: Observe the reaction and note the results. During future treatments, you may increase Step 2 (Salicylic) peel time up to 8 minutes and Step 3 (Glycolic) peel time to 10 minutes. If the skin feels uncomfortable, apply cool water gauze compresses to calm the sensation.

Step 5: Remove the peel by applying the Neutralizer Solution directly over the applied area. Rinse the skin with cool water and gently pat dry.

Step 6: Apply a hydrating serum, like MedPeel Hyaluronic Replenish Serum, and finish with an SPF of 30 or higher.

"There are no U.S. laws or regulations that require cosmetics to have specific shelf lives or have expiration dates on their labels, but there is a time frame for when they should be used after opening. Before Your Peel
Prep the skin with a daily exfoliator such as Salicylic 2%, Glycolic 10% or the Alpha Beta Daily Exfoliator Set one week prior to the peel. We strongly recommend conducting a patch test 3 days before applying a peel to ensure no negative or unusual reactions occur.

After Your Peel
Generously apply Daily Collagen Complex, Hyaluronic Serum or Squalane as needed for tight, dry skin. Use a minimum of broad spectrum SPF 30 every day to protect healing skin. Begin using a daily exfoliator in between peels for long lasting results.

DOWNTIME:
Mild/Moderate - The Alpha Beta Light peel has little to no downtime and will produce light flaking, similar to the peeling you would get after a mild sunburn. The flaking will normally start on day 4 or 5 and last up to 7 days.
